Tuesday Discussions: Schleiermacher

April 21-May 12, 7:30 p.m.
Online

This year, we’ve been exploring Reformed theology, which is the historic theological tradition of the UCC. This spring, we’ll learn together about Friedrich Schleiermacher, who was one of the first Protestants to re-think all of our major doctrines in light of modern advances in biblical scholarship, historical study, and scientific research. Schleiermacher challenges pre-modern Christians to think critically about their faith, being unafraid of questions and transformations in what we believe. Pastor Shelli happens to be an internationally known scholar of Schleiermacher’s theology and possibly the most published author on the subject. Would you like to learn with her about this giant of the wider Protestant tradition and the Reformed tradition in particular? Join us on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. on Zoom from April 21 to May 12 to read Schleiermacher for yourself in the company of friends.
