On Palm and Passion Sunday, our children will lead us in waving palms that celebrate Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem. Carolyn Hart is our guest preacher. Watch on-demand »

Maundy Thursday, April 2, 6:30 p.m.

On Maundy Thursday we will gather around one long dinner table set down the center aisle in the sanctuary to recreate Jesus’ Last Supper. This is a warm, communal, interactive service and dinner—perfect as an intergenerational activity. In addition to hearing scripture and praying together, we’ll wash our hands and receive communion before enjoying a Mediterranean potluck. Please plan to join us and bring a dish to share, if you’re able. Watch on-demand »

Good Friday, April 3, 6:30 p.m.

Good Friday is a somber day in our shared story. We will gather to lament and pray, to trust and mourn. This is a special service for those who are feeling the injustices of the world deeply, who are grieving various losses, and who want to be present with one another not only in times of joy but also in times of sorrow. Please join us for a time of scripture, prayer, and contemplation. Watch on-demand »

Easter Sunrise Service, April 5, 6:45 a.m.

If high school seniors can get up on the first day of school to watch the sunrise, we can get up at sunrise to welcome new life among us on Easter Sunday! Ok, some of us. Chairs will be brought to the grassy area in front of the outdoor cross (just a few steps from the back patio). There, we’ll watch as the shadows recede and dawn appears, we’ll listen to the birds awaken to sing, and we’ll be the first to celebrate Easter Resurrection with scripture, prayer, singing, and communion. Join us, intrepid souls!

Easter Service, April 5, 10:15 a.m.

Cue the brass and timpani! Turn the music up! We’re about to celebrate! God knows we need Easter this year. Gather in our sanctuary and bring your friends and neighbors to celebrate the transformative power of resurrected and resurrecting Love. Come early to get a good seat, and stay late for community-building with friends, new and familiar. All are invited to bring food items for our food pantry. Please place your food items (with the expiration dates marked using masking/painter’s tape and a sharpie) in the basket at the front of the sanctuary when you come forward for communion or place them in the basket before or after the service begins. Easter Egg Hunt

Following the 10:15 a.m. Easter Service, hop on over to the back patio for an Easter egg hunt hosted by our LRUCC youth group. Our 6th-12th grade youth invite all children (toddler-5th grade) to join the hunt. Toddlers-age 6 will hunt on the playground. Ages 7 and up will search a wider area behind the church. We will begin the Easter egg hunt once everyone has gathered on the back patio. Contact ce@lrucc.org with any questions.
