Potomac Association UCC Community Organizing Training

“Those who love peace must learn to organize as effectively as those who love war.”
-Martin Luther King, Jr.

The Potomac Association (UCC) Justice & Witness Committee invites you to a two-day, introductory Community Organizing training to prepare you and fellow parishioners to make an impact. The training is provided at no cost on February 8 (8:30 am to 4 pm) and February 9 (8:30 am to 3 pm) at First Congregational UCC, 945 G Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001.

Participants should plan to attend both days of the training, which will be conducted by Faith In Action, a nationally recognized leader in organizing training. Light meals will be provided, and donations of $25 are welcome but not expected.

Following on Pastor Alexis’ recent sermon on organizing, this training is an excellent way to equip yourself to advocate for justice – Building Power: Organizing for the Win. To check on carpool and Metro possibilities, call Jan Curtis at (703) 850-6403.
