Children
First Friday: Kids' Night of Fun First Friday: Kids' Night of Fun is designed to encourage a parents’ night out where the kids have fun, too! Parents of children from six months through sixth grade may take this opportunity to see a show, go shopping, or have a quiet dinner while the children have supper and participate in a fun evening. The program is offered October through April (except January) from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on the first Friday of the month. Each First Friday has a theme and includes crafts, games, speakers or programs, stories, and lots of imaginative fun. For more information, visit the First Friday page.
Salt of the Earth The Salt of the Earth choir, for children in grades 1 through 5, combines fellowship with the opportunity to develop musical talents.
Youth
Junior High Pilgrim Fellowship (PF) The Junior PF program promotes spiritual growth for youth 11 to 13 years of age through age-appropriate recreation, fellowship, learning, and service within the congregation and the wider world. The group usually meets one Sunday a month for a shared meal with Senior PF and once a month for a "big event" such as a corn maze, walkathon, or service project. Parents are asked to sign up to help with meals, transportation to events, and chaperoning. This group meets from mid-September through May.
Senior High Pilgrim Fellowship (PF)
The Senior PF program promotes spiritual growth for youth 14 to 18 years of age through age-appropriate recreation, fellowship, learning, and service within the congregation and the wider world. The group usually meets one Sunday a month for a shared meal with Junior PF and once a month for a "big event" such as a corn maze, walkathon, or service project. Parents are asked to sign up to help with meals, transportation to events, and chaperoning. This group meets from mid-September through May.
In addition to the Sunday meetings, the Senior PF has all-night “lock ins,” generally sponsors an all-church fellowship event such as a dinner with silent auction, and usually has a few out of town trips each year, ranging from ski trips to “Nightwatch” at the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine in New York City or to the National UCC Youth Event in Knoxville, TN.
Joyful Noise The Joyful Noise choir, for youths in grades 6 through 12, combines fellowship with the opportunity to develop musical talents.
